What others say

"WOW, I cannot say enough about this resource. I use it weekly in my math rotations and it's easily become a staple when I plan. This reinforces what they already know AND it helps them on those pesky standardized tests! "

"I used these weekly with our centers! My students loved them and I saw so much growth as a result. Only complaint (which isn't really a complaint) is that I moved to 3rd for this year and I wish there was a 3rd grade version. "

Description

This error analysis resource is the perfect addition to your math centers. Designed for 5th grade in mind, this will require students to think critically and find the mistake in the problem. Then students must analyze and explain in depth why the student made the mistake.

In this resource the questions are broken down to help support students with analyzing the problem and really understanding the mistake as well as the misunderstanding the student has.

I give my students 2 of these every week on the same skill as part of their math centers
to see if they have exceeded the standard.

Love these. Really pushes the kids to think deeply. They may think they know the concept, but making them find the error and understand it - oof! That's harder for them!

Error Analysis is such an important skill for students to have and this resource was great at teaching it! I loved that it had the process for error analysis laid out so clearly. It also helped my students see the important of showing their work so I can help do error analysis with them.
