Description

I found that as I was completing the activities in Eureka math my students would benefit from having the Concept Development problems written out. This allows me to differentiate learning and allow students who are ready to work in collaborative groups or independently to work on the problems while I work with students who need more guidance. This also allows students to have the problems in front of them and not projected or written on the board.

I will be creating files for all Modules the remainder of the year, so if you like these, please be sure to check back for the remaining sets!

I agree that having a note-taking component with the concept development has helped my students retain the information—these are informative and concise. My students are able to use them during independent practice as a resource or anchor chart.

For example, know that 1 ft is 12 times as long as 1 in. Express the length of a 4 ft snake as 48 in. Use the four operations to solve word problems involving distances, intervals of time, liquid volumes, masses of objects, and money, including problems involving simple fractions or decimals, and problems that require expressing measurements given in a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit. Represent measurement quantities using diagrams such as number line diagrams that feature a measurement scale.
