This graphing and charting activity combines exercise and math to create an exciting new way to create and analyze charts and graphs. The students will be asked to perform several different timed exercises with a partner such as, hopping on one foot, bouncing a ball with one hand, jumping rope, and v sit balances. The results of their exercises will be placed in a chart, and converted into a graph at the end.
This activity includes:
1. 4 different charts to be filled in with the students' exercise results.
2. Comprehension questions for each exercise chart.
3. 4 blank bar graphs; one for each exercise chart.
I hope resource helps your students enjoy graphing a little more, and I hope it helps you in your informal assessment of your charting and graphing unit.
