Touring Towns and Cities is designed to be a take home literacy backpack to encourage student reading at home, as well as parent involvement in their child's reading. This resource would also make a great literacy center or mini unit about communities.

This take home reading backpack will excite and encourage your students to read at home. It will also facilitate and guide parent participation in their child's reading.
The students will take home a teddy bear named Buddy and his backpack filled with fiction and non fiction texts that are night time themed.
The backpack includes:
1. 4 different activities
2. Parent letters to explain the purpose of each activity
3. Student instruction cards for each activity
4. Buddy the Bear's journ
This graphing and charting activity combines exercise and math to create an exciting new way to create and analyze charts and graphs. The students will be asked to perform several different timed exercises with a partner such as, hopping on one foot, bouncing a ball with one hand, jumping rope, and v sit balances. The results of their exercises will be placed in a chart, and converted into a graph at the end.
