Description

Exponents practice is more engaging with these unique color by number coloring pages. These easy-prep math coloring sheets and digital color by number resources are more appealing than regular math worksheets, because they include color AND because the pattern is not predictable!

  • Students solve, self-check, AND color in these exponents coloring sheets (and in the digital resource).
  • Students will know whether or not they solved correctly - if their answer is incorrect, they won't find it on the coloring sheet or the digital coloring page!

In this math color by number activity, students solve the 20 exponent problems (in all versions), find the solution number on the coloring page, and color it with the color indicated in the box for that problem.

These exponent problems require students to:

  • Convert from expanded to exponential
  • Find the missing exponent
  • Find the value of exponential expressions
  • Find the missing base (for 2 questions on Version B).

This easy-prep exponents color by number resource includes:

1) Two print versions, A and B.

  • Questions and colors are different in each version
  • 20 questions in each version

2) Link to one digital version in Google Slides.

  • Same problems as print Version A, but totally different color pattern

3) Instructions for digital

4) Answer keys

5) One print coloring page with no numbers, for students to color their own way

⭐️⭐️This resource is also part of the Exponents Notes & Activities Bundle, along with Math Wheel notes for teaching exponents, an exponent game, and more!

What teachers are saying about this exponents color by number activity:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”I loved using this as a review and early finisher activity for kids to practice exponents and multiplication. The coloring added an extra level of fun for the kids, and I like that there are two versions.”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"I used this 6th grade activity in my 8th grade class to reintroduce exponents to students. My curriculum does not cover exponents in 7th grade, so we needed a refresher. Since it was for review purposes, I copied the coloring picture on the back and told students to only refer to it to check that their answer matched an answer on the color page. No coloring required. Many students colored it for the fun (which was fine) while others just used it to check their work. It was perfect for a quick reintroduction to exponents in 8th grade.”
