Description

Exponents ~ evaluating exponential expressions, writing expressions and finding missing exponents ~ is the focus of these 30 digital, self-checking task cards in Slides. Students can practice with the task cards and then take the 10-question quiz in Forms!

This easy-to-use digital resource is a PDF download with:

  • Link to Exponents Task Cards in Google Slides (30 task cards)
  • Printable recording sheet
  • Task Cards Answer Key
  • Link to Exponents Quick Quiz in Google Forms (10 questions)
  • Instructions

Cards and quiz require students to:

  • Convert expressions from expanded form to exponential form
  • Find missing exponents
  • Find the value of exponential expressions
  • Compare the values of exponential expressions

Using the self-checking task cards:

  • Each card has 3 answer choices in blue boxes – these are clickable.
  • Students just need to select their answer and they’ll move to a feedback slide, which will tell them if their answer was correct or incorrect.

Students should view in Presentation Mode

  • When students choose their answer in presentation mode, they’ll automatically be taken to a “Correct” or “Incorrect” slide, so they’ll receive immediate feedback.
  • Students can use the Back button to go back and review the question, and they can try again. The Next button on the Correct/Incorrect slides takes students to the next task card.
