Description

U.S. Constitution Literacy Lessons is a free teaching resource created by Laura Candler that includes two activities to use with children's books about the Constitution. These activities can be used on Constitution Day or any time of the year that you are studying the Constitution. One lesson is a true/false sorting activity for students to complete as a prereading activity, and the other is a set of higher-level thinking discussion cards that relate to the American Revolution and the writing of the Constitution. Book recommendations are included.

The Constitution was written over 10 years after the Declaration of Independence was signed. You have this marked red...false...this is true. The Constitution was written and signed in 1787. The Declaration of Ind. was written in 1776. That's 11 years or over 10 years. Right?
