This year of beginner French resources includes:

• complete lesson plans that includes reading, writing, listening and speaking activities written in English to French. Instructions for how to modify the lessons are included.
• background information about French and how to explain the use and context of different French phrases and vocabulary to students for non-native French speakers or teachers who are new to teaching French.
• activities that take five minutes or less to prepare.
• opportunities for students to read, speak, listen and write in French.
• predictive writing and conversation activities.
• student templates in a variety of formats so you can adapt the activities for your students.
• photographs of student examples.
• simple assessments for students to practice reading and writing.
• student pages with instructions written in English and French.
• answer keys and suggested answers.

• enough activities to teach 150 minutes per week of French for the entire school year. Many of the activities can be used multiple times throughout the year for review as well, so you will have more resources than you will need for the first year of French.

• Posing Questions: Teach students different ways to pose questions in French through a reference folder activity (that also includes a no cut version).
• Commands: Students will design a game to teach and use different commands.
• Determiners: (le, la, l', les, une, un, des) Students will complete a variety of activities to learn about feminine, masculine and plural nouns.
• the full year includes a sequence guide to help get your year planned out.

Ninja Note: These lessons are not intended for French Immersion classes. It is meant to be used with students who can already read and write in English.
