Description
This is a course plan for grade 9 academic and applied French (FSF1D/FSF1P). It was taught as a split class, but given that the two courses have similar curricula, it could be used for either. Depending on the level of the students, it could also be used for other grades, either higher or lower. It was also taught entirely online, but the activities can be modified to be done in person as well (many probably work better in person). No textbook was used.
The course is divided into three units:
- Je me presente (covers describing oneself, likes/dislikes, introductions, etc.)
- Ce que je fais (deals with daily activities/activities that students like to do. Includes present tense verbs and futur simple)
- Dans le passe (talks about events that happened in the past/things that students did in the past. Includes passe compose and imparfait)
It contains a mix of speaking, listening, reading and writing activities. (None of the resources for the activities are included but many have detailed descriptions). It is completely modifiable. It lists suggested amounts of time for each activity and is broken up into both 75 minute periods and 150 minute periods (for quadmesters).
