Description
Students will factor 10 quadratic expressions in this digital activity! Students will have to first take out the GCF, then they will factor a quadratic that has a = 1. Students will drag and drop their answers into the appropriate color coded position, then use the dashes and dots located at the top of their answer to decode a letter using the Morse Code translator. Once they’ve gotten all 10 letters, they will use the letters they found to help crack the code!
Students should be able to do the following before doing this activity:
- Take the GCF
- Factor trinomials when a = 1
- Factor differences of perfect squares
Easel:
This resource is now optimized for Easel! Students can go through the activity at their own pace and check their own answers!
Please Note:
•The final code at the end makes for easy grading!
•The questions are similar in structure, so students can’t figure out their answer by process of elimination.
•You and your students will need a free Google account in order to access this activity, if you would prefer a hard copy version of this activity, please click here!
