Description

Great for centers, small group activities, independent activities or a holiday party!

Included: 4 Bare Trees, 45 Fraction Leaves, 9 blank leaves to add your own, 13 Apple Barrel Labels, 2 Blank apple barrel leaves to add your own

Instructions: Cut and laminate.
1. Cut out each tree/apple barrel to use as a work mat (it works just as good to leave it as a sheet too)
2. Cut out the fraction leaves and “Apple Barrel Labels”
3. Choose a label for each tree. You can use all four trees, or just one or two, it’s up to you depending on the level of difficulty you are trying to achieve.
3. Students are given leaves to sort through and put on the corresponding trees

I mount these near the door of my classroom, as students come in for the day I hand them a leaf and they have to find the corresponding tree for their leaf before they go to their seat.

A great mini-warmup!

I was looking for a fall themed fraction activity and this one looked good. I just wish the graphics were a bit cleaner looking and the leaves had larger fractions printed in a more readable font, but all in all worked well for the kids.
