Description

Need a fun, hands-on way for students to practice number order and counting? Students are sure to love practicing those important math skills with these farm animal themed puzzles! As students put the numbers in order, they will reveal a picture of two adorable farm animals. These puzzles are perfect for morning work, centers, small group, or independent practice.

This resource includes the following activities:

Color Picture Puzzles

  • Page 3 : Numbers 1-10
  • Page 4 : Numbers 11-20
  • Page 5 : Tally Marks 1-10
  • Page 6 : Tally Marks 11-20
  • Page 7 : Ten Frames 1-10
  • Page 8 : Ten Frames 11-20
  • Page 9 : Dominoes 1-10
  • Page 10 : Dominoes 11-20

Black and White Picture Puzzles

  • Page 11 : Numbers 1-10
  • Page 12: Numbers 11-20
  • Page 13: Tally Marks 1-10
  • Page 14: Tally Marks 11-20
  • Page 15: Ten Frames 1-10
  • Page 16: Ten Frames 11-20
  • Page 17: Dominoes 1-10
  • Page 18: Dominoes 11-20

I like to laminate the color puzzles to use during centers and small group instruction.

The black and white versions are a great “ink friendly” option. You can print the black and white puzzles on different colored paper to easily identify skills (numbers on green, tally marks on blue, etc. or numbers 1-10 on one color and 11-20 on another). Another way to use them is to print the puzzles 2 to a page and have students glue the puzzles in the correct number order in their journals or on a piece of paper.
