Fat Bear Week Lesson plan
Share

Description

This is a simple lesson plan to incorporate Katmai National Park's Fat Bear week celebration. I use this lesson to inject some fun, connect with students, and to sneak in a little wildlife learning along the way. This resource is updated yearly as explore.org and Katmai National Park release their Fat Bear competition brackets. The resource provides lesson ideas and class sign up sheets so students can "claim" their bear in the line up.

Examples of changes in ecosystem conditions could include modest biological or physical changes, such as moderate hunting or a seasonal flood; and, extreme changes, such as volcanic eruption or sea level rise.
NGSSHS-LS2-8
