Description

February homework for first grade is just a click away! Quick checks for comprehension of skills for both ELA and Math aligned to CCSS. This product is the homework for the month of February but is part of a larger series of products for each month of the school year from August-June. This month's homework focuses on initial consonant blends, compound words, decoding two syllable words, category words (days of the week), ten plus facts, comparing numbers to 40, and base ten concepts. This is a perfect way to review skills taught during the day as well as teaching responsibility and accountability of homework assignments. It also serves to help for data analysis purposes to plan for groupings based on students’ current levels.

The standards covered in this month’s homework are:

CCSS.RF.1.3.a

CCSS.RF.1.3.e

CCSS.RF.1.4

CCSS.1.NBT.B.2.a

CCSS.1.NBT.B.2.b

CCSS.1.NBT.B.2.c

CCSS.1.NBT.B.3

This product offers homework for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night (no homework for the weekend). Homework is clearly labeled with the day of the week and the week number for simple organization and no prep planning. Send home each night or send home on a Monday as a packet to be handed in on Friday!

Each homework has 2 days on one paper. Therefore, one week of homework only has 2 papers needed for copying. This saves time, money on ink, and paper!

This month’s homework features fun Valentine's Day/February-themed graphics that are appealing to young children and they are in black and white for students to color when they finish their homework if they so wish.

Another option would be to offer this product as morning work. This product can be great as a warm up or bell work to get your students ready to start their day!

When you purchase this product, you will receive a pdf file with worksheets ready to print.

This product is the seventh month of a series of monthly homework for the school year.
