Description
This video is a great tool for preteaching, reteaching, as a supplement for one-on-one tutoring, or (my favorite) as the video component of a flipped classroom! Students will be given an introduction to the topic before being shown in-depth examples of how to solve quadratic functions by finding the square root. Students will then have the opportunity to solve problems on their own before continuing to a step-by-step solution to allow them to check their work.

Solve quadratic equations by inspection (e.g., for 𝘹² = 49), taking square roots, completing the square, the quadratic formula and factoring, as appropriate to the initial form of the equation. Recognize when the quadratic formula gives complex solutions and write them as 𝘢 ± 𝘣𝘪 for real numbers 𝘢 and 𝘣.
