28 Task Cards for finding missing angles with parallel lines cut by a transversal and missing angles in a triangle.

Every problem solving task asks students to both find a missing angle or variable x as well as asks students for a reason. This extra step gives students practice justifying their work in preparation for writing proofs.

Task Cards may be used in a variety of instructional strategies. A cooperative learning "Quiz Quiz Trade" format with may be used with your classes. Give each student a card. They would quiz two different people with their card and then trade cards and quiz two new people. You could make stations placing a few cards at each station, another cooperative learning activity, or simply use them as worksheets for practice. There are basic missing angle problems as well as more complicated problems using algebra to solve for x.
