Description

This guide makes it easy to plan your year and be sure you meet all of the standards!
You get all the information you need to successfully plan and track your progress on meeting the Common Core State Standards for first grade math standards, including the Mathematical Practices. Each standard is highlighted to show whether it is Major Work, a Supporting Cluster or an Additional Cluster. This allows you to spend the majority of your instructional time on the Major Work - as the standards require!

Each standard has also been matched to its Depth of Knowledge. That means that you will not only know the standard, you will also know the cognitive level of the standard, and can plan to help your students meet the challenge.

The planner also includes space for you to write in your units of study, the assessments you will use to check student's progress, and a place to keep additional notes.

An introduction and sample make it easy to use. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me. I've used this in my classroom very successfully, and you will too!

Order three objects by length; compare the lengths of two objects indirectly by using a third object.
Express the length of an object as a whole number of length units, by laying multiple copies of a shorter object (the length unit) end to end; understand that the length measurement of an object is the number of same-size length units that span it with no gaps or overlaps.
