Description
This product aligns with grade 1 IreadyⓇ Math Unit 4 Lesson 26. The focus is determining 10 more or 10 less than a given number. Students use a hundred chart and base ten models to develop an understanding of the concept and then develop the ability to mentally add or subtract a ten.
This product does not need to be used in conjunction with the ReadyⓇ Math program. It is a stand alone product and contains everything you need to teach this strategy.

The slides are fun and engaging.
The anchor charts can be projected as reminders and learning aids when students are doing work or they can be printed out and added to your focus wall.
The Learning Mats are an excellent tool to engage students during whole group instruction. They help students stay focused and also provide structure during Turn and Talks or partner work. The scaffolding makes learning accessible for all students.
The activities / task cards provide a fun engaging way to practice the skills taught. The included recording sheet holds students accountable and provides teachers with an informal assessment of the skills.
Prep is easy. Most items are in B&W. Simply print and place in protective sleeves. No need to laminate. Task cards require a bit of prep - laminating if desired and cutting.
