I believe the first week is the most important week of the school year! I thought I should share everything I use to start the year off right. I teach 4th grade, math only. During the first week, I do read-alouds, writing prompts, and cooperative learning structures to build community. I don't focus on math content until week 2. This resource can be used for all subject areas, grades 3-5.
The PowerPoint is totally editable, so you can customize the procedures to meet your needs. There are 113 slides.
I have also included a PDF overview of everything I did during the first week of school. In the descriptions, there are links to every single resource I used during the first week. Most of them are freebies!
