Description
This is a short PowerPoint presentation that teaches students how to read fluently by teaching them two strategies (1) Using 2-3 words at a time to read in phrases and (2) Using intonation to read with expression. My suggestion is to use two slides per day, so this would be practice for 4 days.
The readability of the sentences is pretty easy so this could be used as early as 1st grade or for higher grades (2nd-4th) for fluency practice.

My students loved working on their fluency in small group with this activity.
I used this in my small virtual reading groups as well as my evening tutoring groups. The kids really enjoyed practicing their intonation. It very much helped the students understand about using their voice.
Great resource!
My students LOVED this and it was very effective.
