GOOGLE FORM ASSESSMENTS

The Teacher Notebook includes links to copies of digital quizzes. The digital quizzes are 100% editable, self-grading Google Forms. Each quiz has its own link. Clicking a link will make a copy of that quiz for your Google Drive.

Each quiz is four or five questions. The first three questions are lower-order, multiple choice questions. The fourth and fifth questions are higher-order, short-answer questions.

PRINTABLE VS DIGITAL INTERACTIVE NOTEBOOKS

The digital interactive notebook covers the same material as my printable interactive notebook for that same unit. The input notes are identical (but editable in the digital notebook), INB activities require students to apply the same skills and quizzes assess the same ideas. However, the interactive notebook activities are modified and optimized so to work in a digital setting.

Can I print digital interactive notebooks?

Digital notebooks are NOT optimized for printing. The notebook pages are sized for tabloid paper (11 x 17). However, pages are not designed for printing and INB activities are not designed to be completed with paper and pen. Use traditional interactive notebooks for interactive notebook activities that require physical manipulation.

DIGITAL NOTEBOOK FILE FORMAT

The teacher and student notebooks are saved as Microsoft PowerPoint (PPTX) files. Digital notebook files are designed to work with Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides and Microsoft Teams and Google Classrooms, respectively. Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
NGSS3-PS2-1
Plan and conduct an investigation to provide evidence of the effects of balanced and unbalanced forces on the motion of an object. Examples could include an unbalanced force on one side of a ball can make it start moving; and, balanced forces pushing on a box from both sides will not produce any motion at all. Assessment is limited to one variable at a time: number, size, or direction of forces. Assessment does not include quantitative force size, only qualitative and relative. Assessment is limited to gravity being addressed as a force that pulls objects down.
NGSSMS-PS2-4
Construct and present arguments using evidence to support the claim that gravitational interactions are attractive and depend on the masses of interacting objects. Examples of evidence for arguments could include data generated from simulations or digital tools; and charts displaying mass, strength of interaction, distance from the Sun, and orbital periods of objects within the solar system. Assessment does not include Newton’s Law of Gravitation or Kepler’s Laws.
NGSS3-PS2-2
Make observations and/or measurements of an object’s motion to provide evidence that a pattern can be used to predict future motion. Examples of motion with a predictable pattern could include a child swinging in a swing, a ball rolling back and forth in a bowl, and two children on a see-saw. Assessment does not include technical terms such as period and frequency.
