This worksheet is a great guided practice sheet that helps students understand where mixed numbers and fractions fall on a number line. It also offers partitioning practice. The questions begin with some guidance and then get more challenging.
I find that when asking my students to plot points on a blank number line, they have trouble determining which two whole numbers the fractions fall between. It is a great way to practice fraction number sense.
It can also be used as formative assessment!
