Frog Pond Programing Growing Bundle: An Unplugged STEM Coding Activity
STEM - Technology: This is a programing or coding activity to help students with logical thinking, following instructions, and problem solving.
There are 15 different activity sheets included for students to write a sequence of instructions (a computer program) to move a frog from one side of the pond to the other (from the start block to the finish block). This is the second set of sheets and students are introduced to the concept of loops. The write a sequence of code that is repeated 2 to 6 times to move the frog across the pond.
There are also all the materials and instructions needed to make this a physical activity, where the students are the frog and follow directions to move across a life size pond.
The difficulty level of the activity can easily be adjusted for the level of you students from Grade 1 to Grade 4. Complete the activity as a class, in small groups, or individually.
