I was especially interested in this resource because it dealt with loops and selection in addition to sequence. It does do all of that. It provides lots of practice opportunities and rather cleaver frog playing pieces. It also includes a directionality to moving the playing pieces - the frog has to turn before moving. That all being said, there are just fair too many grids to print out - very very thorough. In the interest of saving ink and allowing for student design, I used a blank grid and printed and cut out the marsh grass, lily pads, rocks and blue water as pieces that could then be arranged on the grid to create the different options included as well as allowing for student creativity at each level. The provided paths then were used as a starting place to introduce each level concept - sequence, looping and selection. The coding symbols for loops and selection were very helpful in presenting the concepts.

Thank you, Cynthia, for taking the time to share such a detailed review. I also appreciate that you shared a challenge that you had in using this resource and your solution to that challenge. I am now planning to add a blank grid and cut-out pieces to this product to make it more printer friendly. Thanks again for taking the time to share.
