Description
This Product is part of an Endless Bundle, and a Regular Bundle.
DO NOT PURCHASE if you have already purchased Unplugged Coding Endless Bundle or Unplugged Coding: Frog Pond Programming STEM Bundle
STEM - Technology: This is a programing or coding activity to help students with logical thinking, following instructions, and problem solving. It is unplugged because it is all hands on and no electronics are needed.
There are 15 different activity sheets included for students to write a sequence of instructions (a computer program) to move two, three, or four frogs from one side of the pond to the other (from the start block to the corresponding finish block). This is the third set of sheets and students are introduced to the concept of selection. They will use if/then/else logic structure to write a program to give different directions to each color of frog.
There are also all the materials and instructions needed to make this a life-size physical activity, where the students are the frogs and follow directions to move across a large pond.
The difficulty level of the activity can easily be adjusted for the level of your students from Grade 1 to Grade 5. Complete the activity as a class, in small groups, or individually.
