Students will be able to reflect a geometric figure on the coordinate plane. Students will be able to reflect a geometric figure and locate the line of reflection using a compass and straightedge.

Lesson 3: Rotating About the Origin

Students will be able to rotate a geometric figure about the origin on the coordinate plane.

Lesson 4: Rotating About a Point

Students will be able to rotate a geometric figure about any point on the coordinate plane. Students will be able to reflect a figure over a point.

Lesson 5: Rotation Constructions

Students will be able to rotate a geometric figure and locate the center of rotation using a compass and straightedge.

Lesson 6: Line and Rotational Symmetry

Students will be able to recognize line and point symmetry in regular polygons and other geometric figures.

Lesson 7: Dilating a Figure

Students will be able to dilate a geometric figure about a point on the coordinate plane and recognize the center or dilation. Students will be able to dilate a geometric figure using a compass and straightedge.

Lesson 8: Properties of Dilations

Students will be able to identify the scale factor of a dilation using the proportion image/pre-image.

Lesson 9: Dilating a Line

Students will be able to dilate an equation of a line centered at the origin or a point on the line.

Lesson 10: Composition of Transformations

Students will be able to perform a sequence of transformations on the coordinate plane.

Lesson 11: Mapping Figures Using Transformations

Students will be able to specify a sequence of transformations that will carry a given figure onto another off the coordinate plane.
