Digital Interactive Math Notebook - Math - Geometry and Measurement

A couple of years ago, I fell in love with interactive notebooks for both Math and Language Arts, but I struggled with the amount of paper that I was having to print and use with each student in my class. Being a 1-to-1 iPad classroom, I decided to create digital interactive notebooks for my students to use in Math. This solved two problems - that of using too much paper, and it also provided a way to keep all of my students engaged during Math lessons. We have a SmartBoard that I also love, but it only allows one student at at time to be 'hands-on.' Interactive Digital Notebooks allow for everyone to be engaged throughout the lesson.

This notebook, Geometry and Measurement, contains pages for:
• naming triangles according to side length and/or angle size,
• polygons and non polygons,
• convex and concave polygons
• congruent polygons,
• perimeter of polygons,
• volume of rectangular prisms.

These notebooks also provide a way to assess student learning. Pages are also included for students to 'show what they know.' These are intended to be used after the students have worked with you on the other pages throughout the lesson(s). Some of the 'show what you know' pages have 'structure,' but a few are almost entirely blank. This provides students the opportunity to show what they know in a way of their choice. They can use audio, video, photos or 'paper and pencil.'

I use DropBox and Google Classroom to get the files to my students.

This product download is a ZIP file that will extract a folder that contains 3 files. The first file is the digital interactive notebook in PowerPoint format. The second file is an epub file that is meant to be used in the app - Book Creator. The third file is an information sheet that also gives some information on how to change slide backgrounds if necessary.

I have also created Digital Interactive Math Notebooks for the following Math concepts:
•Angles and Polygons
•Patterns and Equations
•Number Sense
•Decimals
•Fractions, Ratio and Percent
•Data Analysis and Probability
•Transformations
