Description

This is a great historical picture book to use while studying the Revolutionary War. It is really an engaging book that allows students to work in cooperative groups to fully understand the Revolutionary War. It helps to motivate students to get through this sometimes difficult and dry material, while reading critically! (I usually teach it during the month of December to keep my students engaged until winter break!!)

Each assignment is based on particular sections of the book. Students can be given these assignments individually, but I feel it works best in cooperative groups with the assigned daily roles. I used this as a Project Based Reading Learning Unit. It was student driven and I facilitated throughout the unit and monitored the groups closely through each project. In my classroom, they completed most of the reading activities on large butcher or poster paper for display throughout the unit. But these assignments can easily be done on a smaller scale!!

This packet includes...
*9 Reading Projects for use throughout the historical picture book.

I'm sure that this would be a great resource for some classrooms, but I wish there was a preview or description of all of the activities involved because I have already made most of these myself. The graphics are very distracting and "busy."

Wow- I’m sorry you were disappointed. I posted as many previews as TPT allowed with a description of the packet. I created the projects to match my curriculum and student needs.
