Description
This resource provides inviting gingerbread themed math centers for your little sweeties to practice addition facts to 10. There are 5 addition clip card math activities in this packet. Each activity has 12 clothespin clip cards and an optional recording sheet. There is an addition fact and a choice of three sums printed on each clothespin clip card. The cards and recording pages have matching graphics. They are perfect for morning tubs, fast finishers, informal assessment, and take-home practice. These activities work well with gingerbread boy, gingerbread man, cooking, baking, and Christmas themes.
Print, laminate, and cut out the clothespin clip cards. Print the recording sheet that goes with the clothespin clip cards. You will need 12 clothespins for each activity.
Learners clip a clothespin on the correct sum or they can use dry erase markers to circle the correct sum. Learners may also use seasonal mini erasers or tweezers and pom-poms to mark their answer selections. You may opt to make these cards self-checking by writing the answer on the back or marking a dot on the back at the correct spot.
After selecting the correct sum, learners write the equation and sum on the recording sheet.
These activities help learners develop addition fluency and support the Math Common Core Standards for Operations and Algebraic Thinking.
