This lab, themed on items that glow, contains multiple activities for students to participate in. This is could be used as a fun way to learn about fluorescence and

phosphorescence or as an incentive. I use this lab as a reward after state testing. There are enough activities to fill two 50 minute class periods. I typically led students through all the activities one day except part 4. The next day, I would let them explore part 4 after giving them a glowstick and mini black light flash light. I used larger black lights throughout the rest of the room and encouraged students to dress in neon clothes.

** This lab does require some set up and requires the use of blacklights and other household items. Feel free to modify the list of items to things students might be curious about, or items that you may already have.
