This PowerPoint presentation is based on the introduction workbook pages to chapter 9 in Go Math for grade 3. It follows the problems listed in the "show what you know" section of the workbook at the beginning of the chapter. It includes lots of extra visuals, beyond what the workbook provides. I use it to introduce the chapter instead of the workbook so students can use white boards, and because if provides better visuals. However, it can be used in conjunction to the workbook. It covers all concepts of the introduction as a review to build on before beginning chapter 9.

Concepts reviewed:
-identifying shapes with equal parts
-finding the number of shaded and number of equal parts
-writing basic fractions
-using a flow chart to practice review and preview words
-using review and preview words by filling in the blank
-Real World fraction problem solving question
