These lessons are for students with no prior experience using the Sum Function or creating charts. Four interactive, engaging, and fun lessons to teach students how to use the Sum Function and create a simple bar chart. Activities include short Video Links to demonstrate how to create a chart and use Sum Function as well as Printable directions.

Lesson 1 – Safari Animals – Bar Chart – Students will create a simple Bar Chart by changing the chart type and adding a Chart Title.

Lesson 2 - Jungle Animals Sum Function - Students will view a spreadsheet scene of Jungle animals and graph the animals in the spreadsheet while learning how to use the Sum Function. Have students create a chart or charts.

Lesson 3 – The Candy Store – Students will choose 5 types of candy from the candy store list and use the Sum Function to add the total.

Lesson 4 – School Supplies – Students will choose 5 different school supplies from the school supplies list and use the Sum Function to add the total.
