Description
The Cre8tive Education Math Sort program is designed to align with Australian Math Curriculum. It is a yearlong approach to math teaching, and can be incorporated into any math structure a teacher may use.
Most recently it has been trialled in a Daily Math 4 approach, whereby students completed Math by Myself, Math with Someone, Math with the Teacher and Math Sorts. Students would keep the same math sort for a week, sorting each day, and finally gluing in on the final day as a form of assessment. This approach to math teaching contributed to some excellent results.
The program is flexible in its use, from laminating and keeping the sorts as math tub activities shared by the class, to individual sorts targeting student needs.
Attached in this package are 28 different math sorts aligned to year 1 curriculum, as well as the answer sheet for each sort. Sorts that have 2 different colour fonts are best printed in colour, whilst every other sort can be printed in black.
