Description

This set of 8th grade math (pre-algebra) binder notes provides guided notes for graphing and solving two-step inequalities. On the front side, students will complete notes on the process of solving two-step inequalities, including a reminder about flipping the inequality when multiplying or dividing away a negative, as well as what the graphs of each of the different types of inequalities looks like. There is also guided practice for 3 different "types" of two-step inequalities, along with the steps for solving. They will then apply what they have learned, with 10 practice problems on the back side. Rational coefficients are included! Note: This particular assignment is definitely more of a skills practice, there are NO word problems.

This lesson is included in the following bundles:

Solve word problems leading to inequalities of the form š˜±š˜¹ + š˜² > š˜³ or š˜±š˜¹ + š˜² < š˜³, where š˜±, š˜², and š˜³ are specific rational numbers. Graph the solution set of the inequality and interpret it in the context of the problem. For example: As a salesperson, you are paid $50 per week plus $3 per sale. This week you want your pay to be at least $100. Write an inequality for the number of sales you need to make, and describe the solutions.
