Provide engagement and additional practice for students in writing and graphing Quadratic Functions with this Writing and Graphing Quadratic Functions Riddle (Standard Form, Intercept Form, and Vertex Form)! Can your students graph the 11 Quadratic Functions provided in order to answer the riddle, "What is a ghost's favorite genre of music?" Each graph intersects a letter-labeled point at its y-intercept, reflection of y-intercept, vertex point, or zero(s)! With each graphed parabola, more letters are revealed to answer this riddle!

This item provides you 3 options in order to provide differentiation, or additional practice at any point along your instruction of graphing quadratic functions.

  • VERSION A: This option presents all 11 Quadratic Functions in Standard Form! Use this option if you would like students to graph the quadratic functions using Standard Form only, or to give students the opportunity to use their own scratch paper to find key features & other forms of the quadratic functions.
  • VERSION B: This option presents the 11 Quadratic Functions in Standard Form or Intercept Form! Use this option if you would like students to practice their skills of writing Standard & Intercept Forms, or to show evidence that they can identify key features of the parabola from the Standard & Intercept Forms of the Quadratic Function.
  • VERSION C: This option presents the 11 Quadratic Functions in Standard Form , Intercept Form, or Vertex Form! Use this option if you would like students to practice their skills of writing Standard, Intercept, & Vertex Forms, or to show evidence that they can identify key features of the parabola from the Standard , Intercept, & Vertex Forms of the Quadratic Function.
