Greek & Latin Roots & Affixes 40 Week MEGABUNDLE: DIGITAL & PRINTABLE Activities & Games+

This is a complete 40 week morphology study of Greek & Latin word parts (prefix, suffix, and roots.) This resource includes everything needed to teach forty weeks of lessons: 36 weeks of targeted lessons on affixes and roots and 4 review weeks.

The Google Slides digital activities and PDF lessons are based on the same affixes and roots, and the word lists are the same. However, the activities are not the same. In order to make the activities completely digital, some were converted from small group groups to Google Slides games.

Teachers who purchase the MegaBundle will have more activities to use each week - they could:

  • mix printable and digital.
  • use some activities for reteaching.
  • use the digital games for students who were absent for the hands-on games.
  • switch between digital and printable depending on whether they are in person or online.

This unit is organized by week. Each digital week includes:

  • student digital notebooks with each week's activities.
  • weekly word lists and definitions.
  • choice day with 3 suggestions (Any needed templates are included.) Example are Frayer models, writing sentences, etc.
  • Google Slides game.
  • Digital Practice Activity, such as synonym match, analogies, Secret Picture Tiles, etc.
  • Google Forms Test.

Each PDF week includes:

  • a suggested 5 day lesson plan.
  • a choice day with 3 suggestions. (Any needed templates are included.)
  • word list and definitions.
  • interactive notebook piece.
  • interactive activities such as Dominoes, Go Fish, and Puzzles.
  • a worksheet each week.

Each week features 1-2 word parts and 10 vocabulary words. These lists could easily be cut to fewer words.

The words parts covered in each quarter are as follows.

Quarter 1

dis-, in-

-ly, -y

-ous, -ious

script/scrib, graph

tele, photo

Quarter 2

-ion, -tion

-ation, -ition

Quarter 3

-er, -or, -ar

il-, ir-. im-

Quarter 4

-ous, -ious

aud, dont/dent

In addition, I spiral previous words into the hands on activities in order to keep those words "fresh."

This unit was design with grades 4-5 in mind, but it could be used in other grades as well.

Do you need just Digital or PDF versions?

Each bundle is available separately.
