This is a mini unit created by Danielle Tisdale for Groundhog Day. The unit includes a skill layout for the following subject areas: shared reading, morning message, phonics, reader's workshop, science, social studies, and math. All of the worksheet, directions, and forms are included. Students will learn about shadows, making -og words, identifying words that rhyme with me, begin working on subtraction, learn about the history of the holiday, organize facts from a story into a graphic organizer, and practice fluency with an original poem. The unit is 36 pages long and just in time for Goundhog Day!
