Suggested activity sequence:

GROWTH MINDSET VIDEO: play on google classroom, student devices, discover at a center, or show as a whole class. Have students talk and discuss it. Share a mistake or failure you've experienced.

GROWTH MINDSET POWERPOINT: Use the powerpoint to further the class or small group discussion.

GROWTH MINDSET POSTERS: Create a bulletin board to hang a different poster each day for a week. Briefly, talk about the meaning. Also available here for $1.50.

GROWTH MINDSET WRITING: Use the growth mindset writing prompts in a whole class model. Then let students choose which prompt they want to do. For the rest of the week use the writing prompts as warmups or in writing centers.

GOAL SETTING: Begin each grading period with a review of growth mindset ideas and quotes. Then complete the goal-setting pages and enter starting grades or scores.

PROGRESS MONITORING: Update at progress reports and end of the grading period. There is a growth reflection at the end of each grading period.
