Description
This 8-page packet allows teachers to guide through function operations, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and composing functions, with clear fill-in sentences, charts, and examples. I use guided notes in my classroom so that I can just TEACH. I know that students all have the same notes and examples on hand.
These notes include:
- a Do Now before introducing the four major operations
- a chart to highlight the notation of function operations
- an (optional) page reminding students of domain rules for rational and radical functions
- multiple examples that could be done altogether, or could be first guided work then independent practice
- notes for composition of functions (on a separate page so that the function operations and composition of functions could be handed out separately)
- multiple examples for composition of functions that could be done altogether, or could be first guided work then independent practice
