Halloween Math - Order of Operations Puzzle
Your students will be engaged and motivated to solve these ten order of operations pumpkin puzzles. In order to make the equations true, students will insert the four operations between the pumpkins. The students may also use parentheses, exponents and square roots. The last three questions have the students create their own order of operation pumpkin problems.
Halloween Math Word Problems - Scavenger Hunt
Your students will be engaged while solving sixteen Halloween themed word problems. Problems were created based upon real world facts, Halloween characters and some great authors. The scavenger hunt resource can be used in a variety of ways. Scatter cards around the room or copy pages for partner practice.
Students are asked to solve a problem and then search around the room for the answer to the problem. Once they find it, they complete the next problem listed on the card. The types of questions include:
✓ unit rate
✓ average (mean)
A student answer document is included along with an answer key. At the end of the student answer document, there is an opportunity for students to create their own Halloween word problem.

Halloween Math Bulletin Board - Scavenger Hunt
Create a Halloween Math Bulletin Board with this resource! The students will have fun trying to figure out the puzzle. You will also hear fantastic math talk as they reason through each piece. Music to math teachers ears as they discuss order of operations.
Included you will find the pictures and words needed to make the bulletin board. The first slide is an example of how all the pieces fit together. Slides 5 – 14 can be used to create a board. This resource also includes four additional puzzles. If you do not want to make a bulletin board, you can have the additional puzzles on hand for early finishers or they can be used as a warm-up.
