Harlem Renaissance Choiceboard Virtual Room
Share

Description

I designed this room as an engaging supplement to a lesson on the Harlem Renaissance. Students can click around the room to learn about jazz, art, poetry, etc. from the Harlem Renaissance. Once completed, they can fill out a See, Think, Wonder chart. This is perfect for remote learning and Google Classroom.

*******Please note that in order to be able to click around the room, this must be either exported as a PDF or viewed on google slides in PRESENT mode. Some people have been confused over how to view the resources (re: one of the reviews I've received states that there are not resources in the slides - this is because of confusion about how the bitmoji room works )*********

Kristy’s Corner created a fantastic Harlem Renaissance Choiceboard Virtual Room that made exploring this important era both interactive and meaningful for my students. The variety of activities offered something for everyone—whether they prefer reading, writing, creating, or researching. The virtual format was easy to navigate and worked seamlessly whether students were learning in-person or remotely. I appreciated the thoughtful design that encouraged student choice and independence while covering key historical and cultural content. This resource truly helped bring the Harlem Renaissance to life and sparked some wonderful discussions and projects. Highly recommend for teachers looking to provide a flexible and engaging way to study this topic!

It was the perfect supplemental activity for 7th graders in building their background knowledge and understanding of the Harlem Renaissance. I'm so glad people are creative enough to create these interactive boards to help engage our students!
