Description

Howdy,

Do your kids need more practice working with rational or irrational numbers? These cards will help you determine how ready the kids are for SBAC test. This set is designed for High School N-RN.B.3 and the supporting 8th grade standards and are very good for reviewing any curriculum for the End of the Year Summative test.

This set of 96 task cards give 8 versions of the 12 task models that Smarter Balanced uses to assess: N-RN.B.3 and supporting 8th grade standards. They include tasks for classifying sums or products, valuing irrational numbers, and comparing. This set is designed to help students learn how to benchmark numbers for comparison. For example, the cube root of 1001 is just barely more than the 10. You can use these task cards anytime to help your kids prepare for the Smarter Balanced test (SBA). This will give you lots of problems for intervention.

I have saved you lots of time by creating all of the equations, expressions, number lines and images. These are formatted for quick printing. This is a Word document and you are free to edit and make necessary changes to teach your precious children.

I have also included a PDF file that will open on a Chromebook, but is not editable.

An answer key is included!!!!

Task Cards can be used to play:
Scoot Fast Finishers
Scavenger hunt Math Tub/Station
Review Morning work/Entry Task
With any board game (Correct roll a die and move forward, incorrect lose the turn)
Extra Practice as a worksheet

There are lots of other uses for Task Cards. Do an internet search, “ways to use task cards”.
