I love this seller's resources! They are a great way to introduce and review topics with my entering and emerging ELLs. This resource directly aligns with the corresponding PPTs, HWs, exams, etc. My students really appreciate the common language and formatting.

Super helpful for my students with disabilities! They are much more likely to review and make use of their notes when they are in the interactive notebook format than in large chunks of text. Plus, they are more engaged when completing the notes as well. For students who really struggle with copying information from the board and/or handwriting (or when I just don't have a lot of time), I can print out the answer key version and give it to them directly or turn it into a sort/cut/paste activity. The editable notes are a life-saver too - I can beter align them to Virginia State Standards and turn them into fill-in-the-blank notes for differentiation.

I do like this resource, however I think I would definitely scale this as a little bit more on the middle school end. Some of the activities I'll be skipping.

NGSSHS-ESS2-4
Use a model to describe how variations in the flow of energy into and out of Earth's systems result in changes in climate. Examples of the causes of climate change differ by timescale, over 1-10 years: large volcanic eruption, ocean circulation; 10-100s of years: changes in human activity, ocean circulation, solar output; 10-100s of thousands of years: changes to Earth's orbit and the orientation of its axis; and 10-100s of millions of years: long-term changes in atmospheric composition. Assessment of the results of changes in climate is limited to changes in surface temperatures, precipitation patterns, glacial ice volumes, sea levels, and biosphere distribution.
NGSSHS-LS2-7
Design, evaluate, and refine a solution for reducing the impacts of human activities on the environment and biodiversity. Examples of human activities can include urbanization, building dams, and dissemination of invasive species.
NGSSHS-ESS3-3
Create a computational simulation to illustrate the relationships among the management of natural resources, the sustainability of human populations, and biodiversity. Examples of factors that affect the management of natural resources include costs of resource extraction and waste management, per-capita consumption, and the development of new technologies. Examples of factors that affect human sustainability include agricultural efficiency, levels of conservation, and urban planning. Assessment for computational simulations is limited to using provided multi-parameter programs or constructing simplified spreadsheet calculations.
