The focus of this set is on recognizing and identifying TINY color words. Included are four sets of ten objects with Halloween themes.

It is suggested that students work in pairs for this activity. Each paring will need a magnifying glass as well as a clipboard with a recording sheet. (For mini-clipboards, simply fold the page in half and have your students complete one side at a time.) One child will play the roll of “Spy” and hold the magnifying glass; the other child is the “Recorder”. They work together to determine the word and it is written on the response sheet by the “Recorder”. The students then trade rolls for the next word. Alternatively, these cards may be placed into a containter for use at a learning center.

General instructions: Use a magnifying glass to find the hidden word on the card. Write the words down as you find them. Read them to the teacher or a friend when your paper is full.
