Description

Designed for ICS3U of Ontario curriculum and can be used right away, but easily adaptable for other courses. This mastery-based Learning and Skills Tracker, it is intended for moving away from tests and marks to more ongoing skill development. It is made from the curriculum expectations with clear Learning Goals and Success Criteria.

Each strand and skill is broken down into student-friendly Learning Goals, with aligned Success Criteria that provide a clear roadmap for achieving proficiency. This allows students to engage in meaningful self-assessment and take ownership of their progress, turning curriculum expectations into actionable steps toward mastery.

For teachers, this is ideal for giving ongoing assessment for, as, and of learning. Great for facilitating goal-setting conferences, creating flexible learning groups, and providing targeted, descriptive feedback.

Since it aligns with all the curriculum expectations, it can also be used to help teachers with planning, ensuring they cover all the expectations or just the order of things to teach.

I have two different versions of the learning map: one is more general and easier to understand for students, and it is the one that can be easily used for other similar courses. The other has the Success Criteria divided into KTCA and aligning to one or two expectations. The KTCA version is much more detailed, with 4 Success Criteria for each learning goal.

What’s Included:

  • 2 Editable Version (.doc) to customize Learning Goals & Success Criteria.
  • 2 Print-Ready PDF Version for immediate use.
