Description
In this Calculus lesson on Improper Integrals your students will evaluate improper integrals and determine convergence. Students will need to know L'Hopital's Rule for some problems and be proficient with infinite limits. Full typed solutions are included for your convenience.
- Types of problems include improper integrals with infinite bounds and infinite discontinuities, with notes covering all the rules and theorems and suggested methods for integrating.
This lesson is part of the Unit on Techniques of Integration primarily for Calculus 2 and Calculus BC students and is extremely important before moving into the unit on Sequences and Series.
Included:
- Guided Notes plus teacher's version with typed solutions. Notes include all the rules and theorems including the p-rule plus ten examples with many for students to complete.
- 16 Task Cards with carefully selected well represented problems. You may use all or a selection and can vary between classes.
- Same questions on the Task Cards in worksheet format
- Student response sheet for Task Cards (unnumbered for flexibility) with room to show the work
- 16 fully typed solutions to the problems on the Task cards which can also be used as additional notes or a study guide or teaching examples. These can be projected when the assignment is done.
- Additional Quiz, HW, or Worksheet with 6 questions and room for students to show work plus answer key
