INDEPENDENT READING LEARNING STATIONS: The tasks at each of these stations require that students look for, and write about, different elements of fiction. Included are titles and task cards for: opening lines, setting, point of view, tone, character, conflict, author's message, author's style, great quotes and questions. (This product can be found in my Reader's Workshop Bundle)
You can use the task cards as is, or edit them to suit your situation. All of the stations supplied do not have to be used at once. I usually pick four or five to use at a time; then, I will use the remaining ones the next time. Also, it doesn’t matter what point the students are at in their independent reading, as the stations are designed to be used with any novel at any time. The task cards and rubric are editable, so you can tweak as needed
