(Brand new cover) These 20 exit slips are a convenient way to quickly assess student understanding of English Literature concepts and cover the Common Core Standards at the same time! They can be used with any assessment. They align with Common Core Standards RI.1 and RL.1, but they can be used with any school curriculum.

This document includes 20 exit slips. 18 exit slips range from literature to informational topics. They cover realistic fiction, historical fiction, and autobiography genres. They even cover a range of themes common to middle school literature such as acceptance, determination, utopian societies, dystopian societies, and more. Two task cards are open-ended for use with any text.
