This download contains 16 task cards for students to practice their inferring skills along with an answer key. This is best used in small groups and can be modified to fit many different reading levels. For example, for lower level readers, they may be read out loud one-on-one. Alternatively, students can work in small groups or a teacher-led small group to reinforce or practice a skill.

This has also been an effective tool in my classroom for ELLs to practice vocabulary in context, building background information and vocabulary acquisition.
