Description

Short Films - Have your students practice their inferring skills combined with media. This resource provides an instructional page going over implied and overt messages, and questions they can ask themselves to make inferences about media texts.

Students will watch short animated films, and record their inferences using the graphic organizer chart on the slides. You may model the first one, allow for shared practice, and use the last few as assessments. These activities are meant to spread out over a period of lessons.

Suggested Use:

- Distance Learning or Remote Instructional Periods
- In Class digital turn ins, to minimize amount of collected handouts (keeping social distance)

- Literacy Stations or Centres

- Homework
- Assign to Google Classroom or Class Site
